Uganda is home to more than half of the world's remaining population of endangered mountain gorillas, living safely within two protected southwest habitats: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Gorilla trekking is an unforgettable wildlife adventure that takes you deep into the dense tropical rainforest to spend one hour with these endangered mountain gorillas.
Ideal for travellers short on time — a domestic flight from Entebbe to Kihihi Airstrip cuts what would otherwise be a full day's drive down to about an hour by road, leaving more time for the trek itself, all bookended by nights at Lake Victoria Suites.

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where our representatives will pick you up for a short transfer to the hotel in Entebbe for check-in and dinner.
After breakfast, drop off at Entebbe International Airport for your domestic flight to southwestern Uganda's Kihihi Airstrip. From the airstrip, transfer by road for about an hour to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park's Buhoma sector, home of the endangered mountain gorillas. Check in at the lodge for a delicious lunch, then — optional, priced separately — a guided nature walk in the forest to spot monkeys and forest birds, before relaxing at the lodge ahead of the next day's gorilla trek.
After breakfast, transfer for the morning briefing before the highlight of the trip — gorilla tracking, which may last the entire day. Trek through the rainforest and bamboo-covered slopes with a guide and trackers in search of a mountain gorilla family; the walking can be tough and long, but any discomfort is quickly forgotten at the first glimpse of a magnificent silverback. Once sighted, visitors are guided to within 6 metres of the gorillas, spending a full hour gazing into their eyes. Return to the lodge for a free evening to relax.
After breakfast, drop off at the airstrip for the return flying safari leg to Entebbe Airport. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel for lunch and dinner with an overnight stay — and unwind with a complimentary spa relaxation session.
Breakfast before you transfer to Entebbe Airport for your onward flight, closing out the short Uganda gorilla safari.
