Our journey begins by following the meandering course of the White Nile, pausing at Ziwa Sanctuary to observe the majestic white rhinoceros, before exploring Murchison Falls, Kibale and Queen Elizabeth National Parks. Venturing into the Impenetrable Forest of Bwindi, we encounter the magnificent mountain gorilla, before traversing the lands of the Banyankole pastoralists on our return journey to Entebbe — featuring Lake Victoria Suites at the start and end of your safari.

Arrival at Entebbe International Airport and transfer to Lake Victoria Hotel, located close to the airport and overlooking Lake Victoria. The rest of the day is reserved for relaxation after your international journey — depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy the hotel's facilities or take a short walk around Entebbe.
A relaxed day in Entebbe before beginning the main safari. Possible optional activities include a visit to the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC), the Botanical Gardens, or a boat excursion on Lake Victoria to Mabamba for the famous Shoebill — an opportunity to recover from the international journey and prepare for the safari adventure ahead.
Depart Entebbe and drive north towards Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, through the Ugandan countryside with opportunities to see rural communities, plantations, roadside markets and local villages. Upon arrival, settle into your accommodation and, depending on arrival time, enjoy a guided nature rhino tracking experience — Ziwa is home to Uganda's southern white rhinoceros conservation programme.
Continue north towards Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda's largest protected area, proceeding to the spectacular Top of Murchison Falls, where the Nile is forced through a narrow gorge before plunging dramatically downstream. Embark on a midday boat cruise on the Victoria Nile to the bottom of the falls — hippos, crocodiles, elephants and numerous water birds along the riverbanks — before a late-afternoon game drive.
Travel south-west towards Kibale Forest National Park, a scenic transition from northern Uganda's savannah to the lush green landscapes surrounding Kibale. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary walk — famous for its rich biodiversity, birdlife and primates including red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus and vervet monkeys — plus a chance to experience local communities and traditional livelihoods.
An optional morning chimpanzee tracking experience in Kibale Forest, one of Africa's most important destinations for chimpanzee encounters, before continuing to Queen Elizabeth National Park. In the afternoon, enjoy the famous Kazinga Channel boat cruise — connecting Lakes Edward and George, with large concentrations of hippos, crocodiles, elephants and birdlife — followed by an evening game drive.
A morning game drive around the Mweya–Kasenyi Plains, one of the park's best areas for elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, warthogs and, with luck, lions, before continuing south to the remote Ishasha sector — famous for its tree-climbing lions, often found resting in the branches of large fig trees and acacias, alongside elephants, topi, buffaloes and Uganda kob.
Continue south towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the journey gradually changing from open savannah to spectacular mountainous landscapes and dense tropical forest — one of Africa's most important rainforest ecosystems, home to approximately half of the world's remaining mountain gorillas. Time allowing, visit the local community or relax at the lodge ahead of the following day's gorilla trek.
One of the highlights of the safari: Mountain Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority guides and rangers, trek through the rainforest — the duration depends on the location of the gorilla family allocated to your group — for a memorable encounter observing them in their natural habitat. Afterwards, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, one of Uganda's most beautiful highland lakes, known for its dramatic terraced hills and numerous small islands.
Begin the long journey back towards Entebbe through the changing landscapes of southwestern and central Uganda, with stops for photographs and refreshments. A highlight of the journey is a stop at the Equator, crossing the imaginary line separating the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, with time for photographs and a short visit to the local craft shops, before continuing to Entebbe for your final night in Uganda.
Enjoy your final morning at leisure before your transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
